Important Information

Eligibility Criteria for Sociology 4 Year B.A Honours Course:

FOR General Categories:

You can apply if you meet any one of the three criteria below:

  • Minimum of 50% in Best of Four Subjects AND Minimum of 45% in Sociology or Political Science or Psychology.

OR

  • Minimum of 55% in Sociology / Political Science / Psychology.

OR

  • Minimum of 50% in Best of Four Subjects if you did not have Sociology / Political Science / Psychology in Class 12.

You can also apply if you did not have the above subjects.

COMMERCE students CANNOT apply for Sociology Honours

FOR SC/ST Categories:

You can apply if either of the two criteria below are met:

  • Minimum of 40% in Best of Four Subjects.

OR

  • Minimum of 40% in Sociology or Political Science or Psychology

COMMERCE students CANNOT apply for Sociology Honours.

Available Minor Subjects:

You can only select certain combinations of Psychology (PSYG), History (HISG), Political Science (PLSG) & LIBRARY INFORMATION SCIENCE (LIS) as your minor subjects. 

Available Minor Subjects Combinations:

  • PSYG & PLSG
  • HISG & PLSG
  • HISG & LIS

Excluded Subjects:
